WELCOME TO BALI COUNTRYSIDE TOURS
The Best cycling tour company with main objective providing unique & personal cycling trips through rural Bali while at the same time giving our guests a memorable experience by letting them witness at first hand the daily life, local customs and age-old traditions of the Balinese people.
We begin by whisking you away from your accommodation by A/C van with adjust timing by your hotel area, so make sure you have early breakfast in your hotel. First part of the journey is an uphill car trip to the biking starting point on the hill.
During the uphill trip by car, We'll visit at famous rice terraces in Tegallalang. The emerald-green rice terraces in the river gorge north of Tegallalang village in central Bali are generally considered to offer travelers the best photo opportunity. Other popular lush-green and well-tended Balinese rice paddy sites include those in the Ubud area...
We will stop at a coffee plantation named SATRIA AGROWISATA. They have several different blends of locally produced coffee and tea (e.g. ginseng tea, ginger coffee, chocolate coffee, etc.) for you to try for free (in cups). If you like the one you have tasted, you can buy a SATRIA AGROWISATA product of that particular blend.
After the plantation visit, you will continue to travel up the hill to Kintamani for lunch buffet (around 12pm) at MADUSARI restaurant. Indonesian foods like satay and fried banana and simple Western foods like omelet shall be served. Not only is the food good, but the surrounding view is amazing. The scenic view of Lake Batur, Mount Batur and Mount Agung will accompany you during your lunch!
' It's an easy and safe ride'
After lunch, you will be taken to where the bicycles are to start the downhill biking adventure (15 minute from the restaurant). It's an easy 21-km ride, so you don't have to be a professional biker to join the ride. As long as you can ride a bike, you are good to go.
During the downhill bike trip, you will be cycling along many narrow paths, hence all of you will be riding in a line with a guide on the lead to show you the way to go. You will have another guide behind the line to make sure everyone is okay and no one is left behind. Sometimes, you need to cross busy roads, but the guides always stop the traffic for your group.
'This ‘amazing’ route is exclusive to Bali Bagus Cycling.
The first and still the only one in Bali.'
During the trip, you will be surprised to find there is a bamboo forest in Bali. The bamboo forest is beautiful and cool.
The real adventure begins when we ride through an incredible 7.5 hectares of bamboo forest where you will also have a chance to see Balinese traditional bamboo craftsmen at work inside the forest. This 'once in a lifetime' opportunity will guarantee give you a memorable experience, so don't forget to bring your camera or video recorder and take some shots here.
'Riding through Traditional Villages.'
You will also be riding your bike through small villages where you can find unique houses (thatched roofs, carved gates made of stone and bamboo walls) and a big Hindu temple named 'Pura Kehen' where people from its surrounding villages occasionally come to worship their Gods. In one of the villages named PENGLIPURAN, you will make a stop to see how the villagers live. There are many things you can see in the village. You may see some Balinese moms (or sometimes dad) with their baby sleeping in a 'selendang", a cloth tied on someone's shoulder and waist where a baby is placed and to be carried around wherever she goes. You may also see many kids playing in their house yards and a few dogs that belong to the locals barking and roaming on the street. They are friendly people and will be happy to show their houses and be photographed with you.
We continue the ride through another quiet countryside area of Bangli regency. Along the way we have many opportunities to witness the activity of local farmers, buffalo ranchs, rice paddies and other plantations.
After several kilometers of riding, we will ride through a unique Subak water temple called Pura Taman Narmada Bali Raja. This temple is surrounded by rice paddies and a small lake. To access this spot, we have to walk down a couple of stairs. A very nice stops to take a break after the long ride whilst enjoying the fantastic view of rice paddies, temple and the lake.
When we are done with the riding session, we will invite you to our authentic Balinese style restaurant located in the middle of rice paddies where you will be served a magnificent luncheon with special ‘young coconut’ drink or fresh nutritious fruit juices.
Around the restaurant there are several coconut and banana trees and a small Balinese plantation where you can learn about the medicinal uses and cultural importance of a variety of local plants. And you will be able to see many of the spices which are commonly used in cooking as well as different tropical fruits growing in their natural environment.
The beautiful bluish view of Bali sea and Nusa Lembongan island at far distance is another exotic panorama that you can enjoy from the restaurant.
