' Visiting Luwak coffee plantation'
We'll visit at garden tour of a village that produces coffee and tea. Were you given a tour of how the process of making "Coffee Luwak" coming from the Civet Cat. Where you will be able to sample local blends. These included the prized Kopi Luwak, or beans that have been eaten by the civet cat, not-really-digested, then pooped out, collected up, cleaned, roasted and ground for our drinking pleasure....This took around 30 mins
' Breakfast overlooking volcano and lake Batur'
Before we ride a Bike, we will take you to a point high up the side of Kintamani mountain for a late breakfast. The view was breathtaking as you are seated in front of the Volcano (Mt. Batur) overlooking its caldera and the lake on the right side. - A REAL BONUS OF THE TOUR!!!
' Start point to BIKE RIDE &Visiting local village's temple'
After breakfast, we went down to the back roads to start our Bike Tour. After some safety briefing from our guides, we were off. The first part was a short down hill on gravel road. 90 % of the tour was downhill and a few uphill which was quite challenging.
You will also be taken to visit some other village temples which we pass along the route and discover another facts about local spiritual beliefs and practices.
' Visiting a home of Balinese family living in countryside
After riding in few hour will be visiting a home of balinese countryside family. You can see the family house compound and also discover the real life of balinese people living in countryside.
' Traditional handicraft workshop visit '
Our riding session is visiting a small local Balinese bamboo handicrafts workshop. Here you can see how handicrafts are made and processed. Most local women in this village have a descent skill in turning a simple bamboo material into sophisticated yet artistic handicrafts.
' Ride through bamboo forest'
The real adventure begins when we ride through an incredible 7.5 hectares of bamboo forest where you will also have a chance to see Balinese traditional bamboo craftsmen at work inside the forest. This 'once in a lifetime' opportunity will guarantee give you a memorable experience, so don't forget to bring your camera or video recorder and take some shots here.
This ‘amazing’ route is exclusive to us. The first and still the only one in Bali.
' Visiting traditional village of PENGLIPURAN'
One more our exclusive stopping point is a visit to the magical Traditional Village “PENGLIPURAN”, a very traditional village which has its own unique culture and way of life. Penglipuran village is a place of interest and outstanding beauty in Bali. All the houses have been built from north to the south with the traditional entrance gate to each family compound being nearly identical.
Here you will have rare opportunity to explore the uniqueness of Balinese traditional compounds which is only a few still remain in the island. We will also guide you through everything from the how’s and why’s of daily offerings to the amazing relationship betwen Balinese architecture and it’s spiritual practice.
' Visiting the holly spring with small waterfall (optional)'
Optional stopping points only for more advanced cyclist who prefer the more challenging tracks, you have another opportunity to visit a holly spring with a small waterfall nearby. We will walk down through a small (and sometimes slipery) path and cross a small river to get there. Another nice spot for photo opportunity.
' Visiting a public temple KEHEN Temple (on request) before you booking'
Our next stopping point on our descent will be at the magnificent “KEHEN” temple, Bali’s second largest temple. The temple has three courtyards connected by steps, and is decorated with carvings and statues. A large banyan tree shades the lowest and second courtyards. You will be able to enter the temple to see it in all its splendour and if by any chance there is a ceremony taking place, you will be invited to witness the colourful event and our guides will explain you the significance of the ritual.
' Ride through local market'
After visiting the temple, our another optional stopping point will be a visit to a local market in the local town of Bangli where you can see a large array of exotic fruits, spices and vegetables for sale.
Bangli's traditional market which open every day except for religious holiday. This place is providing all the needs which Bangli's society use for every day activities or religious ceremonial. This place is interesting to visit and enjoy because we can see the indigenous activities of Bangli's society in doing economics and trades.
' Ride or quick stop at Pura Taman Narmada water temple'
After several kilometers of riding, we will ride through a unique Subak water temple called Pura Taman Narmada Bali Raja. This temple is surrounded by rice paddies and a small lake. To access this spot, we have to walk down a couple of stairs. A very nice stops to take a break after the long ride whilst enjoying the fantastic view of rice paddies, temple and the lake.
' Visiting a magical old village temple DALEM Temple'
Another stopping point on our way to finish lane, you will have opportunity to visit one of the most important temple in every village in Bali called DALEM temple. This temple is very sacred and located near the graveyard of our beloved village. You can enter the temple to see the inside and also taking photos in front of it's old and artistic roofed gate. Our guide will explain you about the temple history and its function, and sometimes you can also meet the temple keeper who is in charge of this temple.
' A short walk into rice paddies '
A short trekking along the beautiful rice paddy terraces alongside a small hidden river around the village is also available before we have lunch in our unique restaurant.
'Lates lunch at the restaurant in the middle of rice paddies'
When we are done with the riding session, we will invite you to our authentic Balinese style restaurant located in the middle of rice paddies where you will be served a magnificent luncheon with special ‘young coconut’ drink or fresh nutritious fruit juices.
Around the restaurant there are several coconut and banana trees and a small Balinese plantation where you can learn about the medicinal uses and cultural importance of a variety of local plants. And you will be able to see many of the spices which are commonly used in cooking as well as different tropical fruits growing in their natural environment.
The beautiful bluish view of Bali sea and Nusa Lembongan island at far distance is another exotic panorama that you can enjoy from the restaurant.
